I am a playwright and comedy writer. I write scripts solo and in collaboration.
I write plays with music as part of the theatrical project and band DAYS
As half of Friends Who Folk, I write satirical music and comedic scripts.
I even have a Substack, where I wax poetic on...whatever the hell I want!
I also write copy professionally. Portfolio here.

DAYS is a band and a theatrical project, a collaboration with cellist/performer Ethan Philbrick. We write plays that bring together music and dramatic action in dynamic, unexpected ways. We make music that merges and deconstructs voice and cello to explore intimacy, theatricality, and everyday mysticisms. We create atmospheric meditations that bring together our distinct sensibilities as musicians and writers, often animated by collaboration with theatrical and musical collaborators. Our first EP was released in 2021, produced by Kyp Malone.
Our play, Internal Audit, was produced by The Kitchen in March 2026.
Plays:
Internal Audit at The Kitchen (March 2026), a loose rendering of myths about transformation, transfiguration, desire and power, set at a corporation in crisis. Directed by Tara Ahmadinejad. With Sunita Mani, Francesca D'Uva, Erin Markey, Gus Heagerty, Ashley Pérez Flanagan, and Madeline Wise.
Intimacy Coordinator at Francis Kite Club with Francesca D'Uva and Erin Markey
Is That You? with Erin Markey, Zoe Chao, and Taylor Trensch
Flower Spider Cow at KAJE, with Erin Markey, Zoe Chao, James Cusati Moyer, Catherine Brookman, and Francesca D'Uva
Friends Who Folk is a satirical folk and comedy writing duo, a collaboration with Rachel Wenitsky. We have been called “razor-sharp satirists” by Time Out New York and “a crazy insanely madly unbelievably inconceivably unthinkably good faux-folk band” by Paste Magazine.
We have played all over the city, at venues such as Ars Nova, Caroline's on Broadway, UCB, The Bell House, and hosting our own a monthly show at Union Hall.
Our videos, which have been featured in The New Yorker, Glamour, Vulture, and elsewhere, can be viewed below.
We regularly write songsfor Story Pirates, and contributed a song, "The Little Girl Was Feeling Blue," that was nominated for an Ambie Award for Best Fiction Scriptwriting. Listen to the episode here.
We released a new album, "Comedy is Wrong," in 2024.
